Kiri

Kiri grew up on the California coast.  She participated in gymnastics as a child and avoided school-organized physical education as much as she could.  She jumped head-long into sewing in high school making her senior prom dress, and has never stopped costuming.

Kiri began cabaret belly dancing in 1997 when she lived in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.  She performed with a troupe there for two years before moving out to Seattle, Washington in 2000.  She fell in love with dancing to live drumming at historical re-creation camping events and learned to drum.  She danced for love of the art and her dance technique got sloppy, but Tayissa has been whipping her back into shape ever since she became affiliated with Twilight Maqsuum.

Kiri brings her artful acumen to her movement and costume design.  She believes that American tribal fusion is the best setting for her and her sisters in the dance to build their fellowship and really shine in their performances.
